Allison Zito MA, LPC
Allison Zito is our Clinical Director. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been in practice for eight years. She chose the counseling profession and to work in the addiction field due to her own experience in recovery. She is trained to work with individuals, couples, and families around a variety of problems and with specialties including: assessment and treatment of substance abuse and addiction, depression, anxiety, sexual trauma, relationship issues, and parenting skills (with particular expertise around adolescent and young adult concerns). In 2005, Allison began working with Solutions Intensive Outpatient Program as a group, individual, and family therapist. In 2009, she became the Clinical Director of the program.
Allison earned her Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University and her Masters in Professional Counseling with a Concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Argosy University. During this time, she worked in residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment for adolescents and young adults. She completed her internship at New Hope Counseling, where she provided group, individual, and family counseling to court mandated individuals. While at New Hope she served as the juvenile substance abuse evaluator and group facilitator for Forsyth County Juvenile Court.
She is a member of the American Counseling Association and LAPCA of Georgia. She has also appeared in numerous television documentaries and spoken to the public on alcohol and drug abuse problems. She also has a private practice and has on-going groups for individuals with substance abuse problems separate from Solutions Intensive Outpatient Program.
