Dr. Robert Margolis
Dr. Robert Margolis has been a licensed clinical psychologist in Georgia since 1979. He has worked in adolescent drug abuse treatment since that time. He started the Solutions Intensive Outpatient Program in 1998 in Roswell, Georgia. Before that he was Director of Psychological Services at Ridgeview Institute for 13 years as well as carrying a full client schedule of adolescents and families. For many years at Ridgeview he ran the only adolescent outpatient group therapy sessions in Atlanta.
He received his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his masters and doctorate in clinical psychology from Georgia State University. He holds the American Psychological Association College Certificate of Proficiency in the Treatment of Alcohol and Other Psychoactive Substance Use Disorders. He is a fellow at the Georgia Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association.
Dr. Margolis has written more than 15 articles and several book chapters. In 2011 the second edition of Treating Patients with Alcohol and Other Drug Dependence: An Integrated Approach was published. He has appeared in numerous television documentaries on alcohol and drug abuse.
